About Global Pulse

Global Pulse is a world news aggregator built to give readers a single, fast place to scan headlines from across the globe — organized by category, by country, and searchable by name or subject — without needing to check a dozen separate outlets.

What we do

We pull live headlines, summaries, and links from established wire services and news publishers, and organize them by region and topic. Every headline links directly to the original publisher's full article — we don't republish or rewrite the underlying reporting. Our job is discovery and organization, not original news gathering, and we're upfront about that distinction with our readers.

How we choose sources

By default, Global Pulse filters to a curated list of established wire services and major outlets with strong editorial track records — including Reuters, the Associated Press, BBC, NPR, PBS, Agence France-Presse, Deutsche Welle, NHK, Kyodo News, and similar organizations across the US, Europe, Japan, and beyond. Readers can turn this filter off to see a broader mix of sources if they choose. This is a curated allow-list based on institutional reputation, not a claim that every individual article has been independently fact-checked by us.

Fact-checking

We are not a fact-checking organization. Each article includes a "Fact-check this" link that opens a search across recognized fact-checking sites (Reuters Fact Check, AP Fact Check, FactCheck.org, PolitiFact, Full Fact) for that specific headline, so readers can independently verify claims that matter to them.

Local news detection

Our "Near You" feature estimates a visitor's country from their IP address, using a third-party geolocation lookup performed directly in the browser. We do not store this location data on our servers.
